Overview

Figma Make is an AI feature inside Figma that turns a plain-English description (or an existing Figma design) into a working, clickable prototype or simple web app. You type what you want ("a program-finder quiz with three steps and a results page"), and it generates a real interactive interface you can refine by clicking on elements or asking for changes, no coding required. For EdPlus staff, it is the fastest way to go from an idea to something people can actually try, which makes stakeholder reviews and usability tests far more concrete than static mockups. It lives inside ASU's existing Figma environment, so designers already working in the Unity Design System can build on files they have.

Teaching uses

Featured ways to use this tool

01
Prototype a student-facing tool before dev work
Describe an idea like “a cost-and-time estimator for ASU Online degree seekers” and get a clickable working version in minutes. Put it in front of stakeholders or a few students to validate the concept before any engineering time is spent.
02
Turn static mockups into interactive prototypes
Point Figma Make at an existing Figma design — say, a new program page layout — and have it generate a functioning version with real navigation, form fields, and hover states for usability testing.
03
Build lightweight internal utilities without engineering
Spin up small team tools such as an event check-in screen, a content-review tracker, or a simple dashboard mock populated with sample data, instead of waiting in the dev queue for a throwaway utility.
04
Iterate on concepts live in stakeholder meetings
During a working session, generate a rough interactive version of a landing page or onboarding flow on the spot, then refine it in real time based on the room’s feedback — decisions get made against something tangible.
